NOTICE! The One Big Beautiful Bill has eliminated residential tax credits by the end of 2025. Systems must be placed in service in 2025 to get the 30% tax credit. This means you have to receive Permission To Operate (PTO) from the utility by December 31, 2025. The utility hard cut-off date to receive an Interconnection Application (ICA) is 10/1/25 in order to be issued PTO by the end of the year. ECG must receive contracts prior to 9/15/25 to guarantee the system is installed before the deadline. Commercial projects must be placed in service by the end of 2027. This will certainly create a mad rush on installing projects, placing a severe strain on all resources typically associated with our industry including availability of equipment and delays with utility/AHJ authorities.
